Exclusive Touareg Marks Quarter-Million Milestone March 10, 2006  In less than three years, Volkswagen has sold 250,000 of its luxury Touareg SUVs. To commemorate the milestone it is releasing a limited Exclusive Edition. Available worldwide, the 999 Exclusive Editions feature silver roof rails, oval exhaust pipes, special body moldings, tinted glass, 19-inch dual-spoke alloy wheels, piano-lacquer inlays and two-tone leather. Five paint colors are available: Black, Pearl Blue, plus metallic choices Black Magic, Reflex Silver and Shadow Blue. The two-tone interior is a combination of Snow Beige and Charcoal. Most of the engines — three diesel and two gas ranging in horsepower from 174 to a V10 diesel with 313 — mate to a six-speed automatic transmission. The unique serial number of each Exclusive Edition is imprinted on the aluminum door sills as well as on an owner certificate.
